X-ray films must be disposed of in a way that preserves the confidentiality of the information the records contain, as well as protecting the patient’s information.
X-ray films are made from photographic chemicals, which contain silver, in the form of halides, which can be extracted and ensures our landfills are not contaminated with toxic and hazardous substances that may pollute groundwater.
All films are collected in accordance with the strictest privacy and confidentiality agreements in-keeping with the latest legislation.
Arrange a pick-up for large volumes of X-rays. If you have X-ray volumes over 20 kg, we can organise a collection. If you have small quantities, simply place them in an envelope and post to:
